Gaston Dorren is a journalist and writer who specialises in linguistics. Lingo, his successful, highly accessible book about some 60 European languages, has itself been published in seven of them, and parts of it have been translated into three more. As a passive polyglot, he has read at least some of the chapters in nearly all ten versions, and he will share with the audience some pertinent observations about the differences between them. Currently, he is working on a book about the world’s largest languages and learning to read one of the lesser known ones, Vietnamese. Jamie Lucero has been a French to English translator and translation tools expert for over 15 years. After receiving his M.
